Cost accountability—providing the right amount of care, no more, no less

From its founding in 2009, Strategic Radiology practices came together to share data for the purpose of improving quality and efficiency in medical imaging.

As health-care moves toward value-based reimbursement, Strategic Radiology is building the data analytics capability to help practices improve access and manage care to pre-determined performance metrics.

Through its AHRQ-listed Patient Safety Organization, Strategic Radiology provides data-sharing opportunities in a protected environment to support population health management, incidental findings follow-up, adverse events tracking, and other quality improevment initiatives.

Subspecialized care
Subspecialized care

Strategic Radiology practices have more subspecialized radiologists combined than any other radiology provider in the country. The degree of subspecialization that a practice can provide is widely considered to be a mark of quality radiology. The benefits of subspecialized radiology including:

  • Reducing false positives
  • Decreasing cost and wait times
  • Improving efficiency

It is difficult for all but the largest practices to provide consistent subspecialty interpretations 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, but Strategic Radiology member practices have access to an exclusive subspecialty reading network that provides after-hours subspecialty coverage.
